Once again we rolled into the mecca of small tire at South Georgia Motorsports Park with the hopes of defending out No Mercy wins in X275 and Ultimate Street from last year. However this year would prove to be a bigger challenge for our customers with the new X275 rule package. Even with the added weight Jared Johnston managed to qualify number #5 with a 4.43. Charles was right behind Jared with at stout 4.45, and Henschell qualified with a respectable 4.55.
On the Ultimate Street side, Joel Greathouse debuted his new blown combination at No Mercy. Joel made the switch from a turbo to a centrifugal blower over the winter while still utilizing the same Bennett Racing 400U engine he used to win 96% of his rounds in 2015. With the brand new combination Joel managed to take the #3 spot in a 39 car field with a 4.84.
In eliminations Jared worked his way to the finals against Ron Rhodes but struck the tire and had to settle with a solid R/U finish. In ultimate street Joel continued in his winning ways and laid down low E.T of the event with a 4.76 to defeat the #1 qualifier Butch Kemp.
